How can I find out what is happening? (case #18901615)
My Duo v1 has been waiting in telnet mode since 21st Aug for L3 to try and get the NAS running again after it went AWOL when I tried to download the log files. I have asked a number of times for an update but all I got was this reply:
How long does L3 normally take to respond to a system down case?

I have already escalated your case. You do not need to reply for now so that the case will not de-escalate to level 2 bin. I will be sending another e-mail once I got a feedback from them.

139M total - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredLooks like daemon.log and syslog haven't been truncated properly. The backup job logs probably haven't either. It'd be trying to give you a download of about 300-400 MB at the moment when you attempt to download your logs. Would be best to let support login remotely and fix the issue. Since you have SSH access they could do it via SSH. You could port forward port 22 and let them know the SSH password (you can change it first if you like using the "passwd" command).
- ianch99AspirantAfter waiting over 2 weeks for Support to respond to a system down problem (with no fix) , I haven't the energy to log a new case to clean out the log files. I followed Dave's advice (again) and cleaned them out myself and I can download the logs zip file with no issues. Everything is working fine again ..
Really feel let down by Netgear here. What with poor AFP performance, recent bad quality firmware upgrades, lengthy beta programmes to get important fixes, system crashes when doing simple tasks, no support when I needed it, etc. I am afraid that this is the last ReadyNAS I am buying
