How do I disable credential auth on the NAS

Newbie question - How do I disable in the settings from not requiring anyone to enter credential to gain access to a shared folder. I read about the "anonymous" setting. However when I select the NAS under Network in windows 10 explorer, it still prompts for username and ps.

I have selected "SMB" protocol.

Any advice will be awesome

Is the username you use to log into windows also a username on the NAS?

One thing you can do is put in a credential for the NAS in the Windows Credential Manager.  Then Windows uses it automatically.
