Just wanted to say thank you for this guide! I have a 526x and would not have been able to upgrade its RAM if it wasn't for this guide because it's built like a tank on the inside and I was scared to take it apart by myself. Thank you!

No problem, though the ReadyNAS line of NAS is a dead product line these days. It has been reliable and I'm still using it.
