HUS724020ALA640 compatibility with ReadyNas Duo
we have

and we want to expand it with another 2TB HDD. out IT guys suggested
Hitachi Ultrastar 7K4000 HUS724020ALA640 2 TB 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - SATA - 7200 rpm - 64 MB Buffer 0F14690
we want to know if it would be conpatible with the NAS or not

2TB disks are the max capacity supported by your NAS. You could try it.
Using X-RAID a second disk would be used for redundancy not for expansion.
