Lack of Hard drives on HCL
The HCL list for hard drives is very small looking at the 3TB drives there is only like 3 drives on the list. A fast look at what 3TB drives are available below. Seagate Barracuda ST3000DM001 3TB 7...
HCL list is a Joke!! I just purchased an Ultra4+ unit. Checked out the HCL list for harddrives so i could setup the unit. Low an behold most of the drives listed are no longer available.
Called Netgear support and told the rep that I could not find any drives that are on the list from retail stores. I asked support tech want to do. I was told to " Return the Ultra 4 for a refund" WTH!! How can it be that Netgear would rather have customers return products rather than provide a current hard drive HCL list. Very disappointed...sheer stupidity. I guess Synology gets my business!!
