Legacy unit with failed power supply. Looking to source replacement part
Looking for someone from Netgear who can help. The support numbers do not get you anywhere except in a circle and the 'open a support case' on the support website does not display any sort of case creation. Like to know where this page is
Anyway, I have a RND4000-100NAS and the power supply died. I just want to find out if NetGear has a parts department so I can buy a new power supply and if so where I can get it from?
If not, is there a 3rd party manufacture for power supplies for these units? I really am not relishing the though of loosing TBs worth of data from the NAS

RND4PSU1-10000s is the part number.
Can still find it at some sellers in the US.
A 3rd party PSU would have to be rewired to work: http://www.readynas.com/download/archive/pdf/ReadyNAS_PSU_pinout.pdf
3rd party PSU may not fit in the chassis and attempting to rewire it correctly would be done at your own risk.Another option is to get a new ReadyNAS e.g. RN314 and follow the procedure here: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29876/~/readynas%3A-migrating-disks-from-raidiator-4.1-or-raidiator-5.3-to-readynas-os-6
Do you have a backup?
