Maximum storage RN314?
According to all the official specs, the maximum internal storage for the RN314 is 16TB (4 x 4TB).
However, I'm aware that the official specs are not always indicative of the actual specs — such as when Apple states a maximum of 16B of RAM on a system that can handle 32GB in real-world usage.
So my questions is: Is a maximum of 16TB internal storage definitely the case with the RN314, or can it theoretically go as high as 24TB (4 x 6TB)?

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe current datasheet should reflect the new maximum, but not all sites would be using that.
We already have a 6TB disk on the compatibility list: http://readynas.com/hard_disk_hcl
When the 314 was released 6TB drives were not yet released. It is likely higher capacity drives still will work in the 314 but that would have to be confirmed by testing.
Of course some drives are better than others for RAID use so only some disks will make the compatibility list. - nsneVirtuoso... so, just to confirm, the RN314 can go as high as 24TB of internal storage?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYes. Take a look at the latest datasheet: http://www.netgear.com/business/products/storage/readynas/readynas-desktop.aspx#tab-resources
- nsneVirtuosoExcellent. Thanks so much, mdgm.
