I understand the use of SODIMMs in the 2 bay and 4 bay chassis because of room, but the 6 bay has a lot of room. The Ultra 6 Plus uses the exact Intel CPU that the Pro Pioneer and Pro Business Editions used. In fact, I think the first few Ultra 6 Plus units identified themselves as a Pro Pioneer for a while until RAIDiator updates took care of it. So, it seemed logical to me (without an actual one to look at) that the memory slots would be very similar.
