Moving disks/ data volume from pro6 to 516

I have a pro6 with a 6 disk xraid-2 array - can I move this onto a 516, given its the same processor architecture?

no, they use different OS and filesystem.

Pro has Linux kernel 2.6 using EXT4 filesystem. RN516 is Linux kernel 3.0 with BTRFS filesystem.
