My old Duo!
My old Duo has driven me crazy. It is my main storage location. All my 'stuff' is there. I'm still trying to back it up to either of my other two NAS.
Not complete yet. Still trying. So I read in the forums the Raidiator 4.1.13 was released. Good. Tried to let the Duo find it at NG. Nope. Downloaded the f/w and uploaded it to the DUO. Did the update and rebooted the DUO. It came back with the Power Button blinking and not available in RAIDar.
Hmm? The last time I was in Frontview I did see entries that indicated 'maybe disk 2 is going bad'. Fine. I've now ordered 2x WD 1TB Reds for it.
But it sat all day yesterday with a blinking Power button (booting?).
This morning I pulled the plug; NAS off. I let it sit for 8-10 hours and plugged it back in, pushed the Power button and walked away. I expected it to fail to boot and return to a blinking Power button. Not so! The Duo came back to life, visible on the network, all shares visible, fully ON! And it now uses RAIDiator 4.1.13! I will now spend the rest of today trying to get the DUO to backup to my nasa and/or nasb. This Duo just will not die! I am truly impressed.
