My ReadyNas Duo (V1) failed...

Can anyone give me any advice?...please?

I have a ReadyNas Duo (V1) that has failed recently, cannot bootup. I think its "gone". Have been using it for about 5 years.
I am desperate to retrieve my data, but I am not sure what new models of Nas can read my existing data (from the 2 discs in my failed ReadyNas Duo (V1)).

I am pretty sure my 2 hard discs are still working fine...just really need a Nas to access the data...

Can anyone give me any advice?
Very desperate...:(

    What do you mean, by it failing recently and can't boot up?

    Do you see any LEDs (e.g. disk LEDs) light up? Any response to the power button when you attempt to turn it on? Do you see it in RAIDar? If you see it in RAIDar what shows in the Info (far right) column?

    Can you boot it into tech support mode (try with disks first, then without disks - label the order of the disks - if that doesn't work)?: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24874

    Do you remember if you were using X-RAID or Flex-RAID?

    If your unit is dead then you could get e.g. a ReadyNAS 312 and open a case for your 312 and post your case number here. Support does have a procedure to attempt to recover data. It is important that you follow their instructions carefully. Do not insert your disks until instructed to do so.

    Hopefully your disks and array are fine.
