NAS 626x New Hard Drive
Hello,
I recently installed a ReadyNAS 626x. I stated out with two HDD and just added a third. They two show up and are able to be used. The 3rd is listed, however it did not increase the disk size. I am using the default XRaid setup and from what I read after the 2nd drive the 3rd+ would be additional space.
The drive is formated and volume state is "new" and the disk state is "unknown".
Any thoughts on how I can get addition HDD to be added? I have 3 more I need to add after this but do not want to add them till I know this is working.
thanks!

Did you insert the drive with pwer on or off? If with power off, try pulling it, waiting a couple minutes, and re-inserting.
You may also find some clues as to what is going on in the log zip package. mdstat.log, lsblk.log, sgdisk.log, and smart_history log would be places to look.

What sizes are the disks? In particular, is the third one smaller than the other two?

The 3rd drive is the same site as the first two. The last 3 will be 1 size smaller. They are 12 TB drives in there now and 10s after I get them working.
I did notice that in the Log file it says the at it's syncing and the peformence will be slower. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Thanks!

It won't expand until it's done resyncing.

That won't work. You can't add smaller drives to an existing XRAID array.
