Netgear ReadyNas NV+ RND4000 - No Display Just 100% Fan Noise!
Hi everyone,
I have purchased two ReadyNas NV+ RND4000 discless units from ebay from an office clearance company.
Upon turning both units on the power very quickly flashes blue and the fan stays on 100%. There are not disk lights or output to the display. No network activity light either. Could these have faulty boards?
Have I just purchased two broken units or is there a was to get these worthing like they once did?
Thanks in advance.

If there are no disks in the system, then you should see a "no disks" status on the LCD. If you aren't seeing that, then you purchased two defective units. It's possible that you could replace the PSU (warning- you'd need to adjust the pinout of a stock supply). But I'd just return them if they don't work.
The NV+ was a good NAS in it's day (my own is still in service). But it's a 2006 design, and newer NAS are much faster, have more features, and don't have the 2 TB drive celing that the NV+ has.
