New admin design/functionality
Dear Netgear, While I absolutely love the performance of my Ultra 6 in terms of speed, I find the admin webpage on the device (and frankly, on your routers too) to be very much sub-par. It's slow, ...

Not sure about you, but personally I prefer stability over a new interface. The web-interface of the ReadyNAS has lots of features and works well provided you keep your firmware up to date. With the rapid release cycles of modern browsers if they break compatibility it could be a little while afterwards before a firmware update is released that addresses the issue. However having multiple web browsers and perhaps keeping one on a little older version (if needs be) is a reasonable solution.
Also looking at that link I read a new feature "Scheduled SMART scans to keep admins in the know before problems arise". Now, I'm not sure exactly what that's referring to, but I can tell you that the ReadyNAS has had daily scheduled short SMART online scans for as long as I can remember. If you look back at the firmware release notes you might be able to find when that was introduced.
Having said all that, recently NetGear released some new products the Duo v2 and the NV+ v2 with a new web-interface. You can read about it in the Duo v2/NV+ v2 software manual found here: http://www.readynas.com/docs
I think I may have read somewhere (though I can't find the post atm) that NetGear does have plans to release the new web-interface for x86 products but there's no ETA at this time. Edit: I could be thinking about the Debian distribution RAIDiator is based on, not necessarily the web-interface.
Edit: There is some speculation in the community as to whether this would be released for existing products or not (see http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=41981&p=331334#p331334). We'll have to wait and see.
