New to this but having issues
Afternoon all. I’ve got a readynas 2120 handed down to me and am having trouble setting it up. I’ve done the full reset hold button 30 seconds etc and have successfully found it on raidair. W...

One drive installed.
Powered down and held the reset button, powered back on and waited 30 seconds for the second flash and it did its install etc.
Am i doing this correctly?

ANd i've used the drive before with a caddy though it was used on my Xbox before.
Raidair will open the folder and lets me view it though, it seems empty.

If you did the factory install, there will be a few empty shares. Is that what you see?

When i open it via raidair i just get the folders for media, music, photos etc
They're all empty, though

Yes, they will be empty until you put something in them. I certainly hope you didn't think you could put a drive that already contained data into the NAS and access that data. A NAS is quite different from a simple drive enclosure. It has reformatted your drive to a Linux format, as you told it to do by performing the reset.
