My (Cable-)Modem (Thomson THG571) and its IP is 192.168.100.1. And afaik its a modem only, without an
integrated router. So I'm presently just wondering why I changed my routers IP and why it helped to solve
my problems hosting the NAS online ^^.
(its about 5 months ago)
My router is an Netgear WNDR4000, by the way. I only forwarded Port 21 and about 20
more (for passive ftp) directly from the router to my NAS at 192.168.5.4.
Should I have concerns?
