Well SeaGate has just come out with some 8TB archive drives. I wonder if the prices of some drives on the market will drop a little, but changes like that can take a little time.
As 2TB drives are the max supported by some older PCs and our Sparc ReadyNAS systems that could also be helping to keep the price of the 2TB drives up.
