NV+ RND4000 Power Supply Failure: What are my options?
A few months ago the power supply died on my NV+ v1 (RND4250-100NAS). I tried to contact support as suggested in some other forum posts, but couldn't get anywhere with the online form – it only tells...
Your system's serial number is outside the range in the service action.
There a couple of third party supplies out there, but they expensive. For instance: http://www.evercase.co.uk/CompatibilityListReadynas.htm
If you have the skills, it is possible to purchase a much less inexpensive supply, and modify the cable pinout.

Thanks, StephenB. I'm intertested to hear directly from Netgear, because, as i mentioned, replacement PSUs were recently sent to multiple customers whose units were also not covered by the service action. See the links i originally posted.

I too have a ReadyNas RND4000 that just lost power suddenly. I tested the cord and it’s good. This is really a challenge for me. Can anyone tell me if either/both of the two PSUs below will work. Of course I'd rather not buy overseas. I did find instructions for installations on the Netgear website, an old PDF, probably from when they sold parts, but no other help. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
