I have the report back from Acronis Drive Monitor.
Monitoring: S.M.A.R.T.
Power on time: 0 day(s)
Disk health: 18%.
Health of the disk is below the warning level at 70%. Decreasing disk health may be an indicator of imminent disk failure. Review the S.M.A.R.T. attributes and/or monitoring script messages to determine cause of the problem. <a href="1">Get help online</a>.
Disk temperature: 26 °C.
S.M.A.R.T. attribute Current Pending Sector Count reported warning status.
Off-Line Uncorrectable Sector Count S.M.A.R.T. attribute indicated problems with read/write operations. This may indicate problems with disk surface or heads. Regular backup is recommended; if health continues to decrease, consider cable and/or disk replacement.
in the details page it shows:
Current Pending Sector Count,1160,93,0,Degradation
Uncorrectable Sector Count,1160,93,0,Degradation
as the two items degraded.
Seems as though the disk actually is faulty, that is, can i trust the smart tool?
