Only fan spinning no Lcd
My wife decided to paint my office and unplugged my readynas nvx for 2 days. When she plugged it back in, the fan spins on high but no lcd or any other lights come on. I notice an amber light on the...
She just pulled the plug. I have removed and labelled the drives and it still just powers on with the fan spinning on high. Holding the power button will turn it off, but it won't connect to my network and the lcd never come on.

Ok. So something obviously failed - not sure if it is one of the the power supply outputs or the system board. Perhaps Sandshark can offer an informed guess.
I think it is pretty likely that the RAID array is intact. Are you going to need to off-load data?
One option is to get a new OS-6 x86 ReadyNAS (RN300 series or better). While you can't simply migrate the disks, you can temporaily mount the data volume so you can off-load it. Problem solved. Changed the battery on the motherboard and it booted normally and all drives intact.

That's odd, since the battery is really there just to keep the real time clock running. But its great that it came back to life, whatever the reason.
It is a very old platform of course, so you probably should plan on replacing it at some point.
