Overhaul to rekindle interest
We have not seen many addon updates from super or Whocares in 2012. The development community is pretty stymied by the Etch development environment. I think we really need a Debian update to rekindle interest or this is going to fall behind quickly.
Frontview is a negative for novices I know who have purchased a NAS, they usually pick synology or qnap because they look more user friendly. Netgear really needs to do something to spice up the look and feel. It's development time consuming and nearly useless to me, but it's a selling point.

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI agree, even though I am likely twisted (since I like Frontview, or at least am used to it).
If Netgear could invest in jump-starting the development community, that would also help. The fact that you can't run ReadyNAS firmware in a VM is one barrier - you need to commit to buying a NAS just for development.
