Password Recovery
Model ReadNAS NV+ RND4000
Firmware 4.1.12
I can't remember the password for the admin user and want to modify the internal IP address. I can login thru other user IDs that I've on the system but admin user password is lost.
The URL https://< ReadyNAS_IP_address>/password_recovery results in error as there were no security questions.
How can I access the admin page without losing my data? Kindly help. Thanks.
If you do an OS reinstall, the IP configuration is reset to use DHCP and the admin password is set back to the factory default (netgear1). Other settings aren't changed (and the data should be left intact).

Be careful not to do the factory reset, as that will wipe the disks.
