    The admin username for the NAS is admin.  If you can't remember it's password, you can try password recovery (if you set that up).

     

    If password recovery isn't available (or doesn't work), then you can do an OS reinstall from the front panel.   That will reset the admin password to password, reset the IP configuration to the default (DHCP), and turn off the volume quota.

     

    Don't do a factory default or reset, as that will delete your data.

        oops.  The defaults I gave are for OS-6 NAS.

         

        With OS 4.x, the default password is netgear1.  An OS reinstall will reconfigure the network setting to DHCP (no link aggregation).  It won't touch the volume quota (that is specific to OS 6).
