The ReadyNAS will be off for the hours the power timer scheduled it to be off and be on for the hours you've scheduled the NAS to be on. So if the hours the NAS is scheduled to be on finish at e.g. 8pm the NAS should shutdown at 8pm.

My understanding is if a backup is running the power-off is deferred.
If there are other operations that defer the shutdown, it might be good to identify them.
