My new power supply arrived from Amazon. This will be the unit's third power supply. The original power supply failed while the unit was still under warranty. PSU #2 was the replacement from Infrant and is the newer style with the plastic shield. It shows no visible signs of failure; no leaking caps and no smells of burning insulation. It is a pity. I hope PSU #3 outlasts #1 and #2. At $120 a pop, I can't afford to keep doing this.
The good news is that my ReadyNAS is back online and running fine. And I want to compliment whomever designed the chassis. It is fantastic-- I enjoyed taking the thing apart and screwing it back together. I can't say that about anything else I own, even my Ducati.
