Pro 6 SYS Fan Speed Override

Folks -

Forgive me if I have missed this, but can't seem to find anything.

My question:

Is there a fan RPM override capability for the SYSTEM fan in the Pro 6? My SYS temps are a little higher than I'd like to run them (49 C) and the SYS fan is spinning at about 930 RPM. The CPU temps are great.

The system isn't in a noise adverse area, and I'd rather have some cooler temps by spinning the SYS fan up to say 1200 or 1400 RPM. Recalibrate runs it up to about 2200 RPM, then backs it way down to like 600 RPM before it finally settles on about 930.

If I can't, that works too, but just wondering as I know there used to be a fan RPM override for the old SPARC NV I am replacing this thing with.

Thanks,
Jesse

  • nope it cant motherboard regulate its speed but it seems to grew up with cpu load, internal temp higher you have certainly due to your hdds
in mine i mount a 60mm on the heatsink regulated manually with zalman resistor
for the 12cm i removed it this poor fan an replace by a noctua NFP12 PWM
for the 8cm in PSU i removed it and replace by noctua NFR8 PWM
those fans are in another level of quality and efficience as originals....
and the NAS is in another world of silence
totaly confident in those fans, running 24/7 in my watercooled PC SSO bearings garanted silence over years
