Pro Pioneer memory upgrade, KHX6400D2LLK2/4G
For those who want to upgrade memory I can now confirm that Kingston KHX6400D2LLK2/4G (4GB 800MHz DDR2 Non-ECC Low-Latency CL4 DIMM (Kit of 2)) works like a charm (CAS memory timings are 4-5-5-18). ...

:D Thanks mdgm....
I got my two sticks of KHX6400D2LLK2/4G today and thought I'd test them out on the Ultra 6 Plus first. I've never done a memory test before so I didn't know what to expect.
On the Ultra 6 Plus, the memory test took approximately 1 hour and 26 minutes with Prog 100%, Pss 1 and Err 0. I guess "Pss" means number of passes and "Err" means number of errors.
Then I put the two sticks on the Pro Pioneer and the memory test took approximately 1 hour and 44 minutes with Prog 100%, Pss 1 and Err 0. I suppose the time it took me to do these memory tests is about what everyone else is experiencing, right? I didn’t think they would take so long.
Afterwards, I thought I’d see if there was any performance improvement in the Pro Pioneer, so I started a Logitech Media server scan of my 1.15TB of flac files on my Pro Pioneer. I was pleasantly surprised that the scan was cut down to a 1/3 of the time, and this was while I was simultaneously doing a scan of my video files with my Netgear Digital Entertainer Elite EVA9000! I wish I could upgrade the memory on the EVA9000 to see an improvement.
I think I’m sold. I’m ordering another set of KHX6400D2LLK2/4Gs for the Ultra 6 Plus!
Now I’m trying to see what memory upgrade is proven to work for my Ultra 6, but I haven’t seen anything in this forum with a brand/part number. Any recommendations?
Thanks a bunch guys!
