Processor upgrade on 516
Hi! Will the 516 support all LGA1155 processors? Like the Xeon E3-1280V2? Also, does the 516 have active CPU-cooling? If so, how tall may it be? (On my Pro 6 I measure 55mm (ish).) I am looking ...
i7-3770K works...
Active cooling on MB works, used Titan DC-155A915Z/RPW(30mm tall), not sure about speed control by temp...
Has standard mounting(4) for 1155/1156 Heat Sink, but standard screws are too small and wrong thread pitch for MB nuts..
Screws for AMD Socket G34 bracket worked perfect to retain heat sink...
Also have to rewire fan connector, RN 516 does not use standard wiring for CPU or Case fan...
Standard PWM Fan:
1 - Black(GND), 2 - Yellow(12v), 3 - Green(tach), 4 - Blue(Control)
RN 516 PWM Fan:
1 - Blue, 2 - Black, 3 - Yellow, 4 - Green
