Can the i7-3770K be underclocked on the motherboard in the ReadyNAS 516?
The max TDP for the i7-3770K is pretty high.
I think the i7-3770S would probably be a better choice, as its max TDP is only 10 W higher than the stock CPU.
A downside of the i7-3770 CPUs is that they don't support ECC RAM according to the specs on Intel's website.
