Put disks from ReadyNAS NV+ into 314 chassis? #23588643
I have an NV+ with 4 disks whose chassis appears to be fried. I am looking at the ReadyNAS 314 diskless and would plan to simply install the disks there and start it up. Will that work? Thanks!

So mdgm, you're saying that with a 314 chassis and one fresh disk there will be a process to restore the data on the 4 XRAID disks from the old unit (assuming they're OK)? I have a backup of the data (a couple fo days old), but I was hoping to be able to simply remount the existing array in a new chassis.
I did this before but it was from an NV+ to an NV+, and it worked. You're saying that won't work going from an NV+ to a 314?
Thanks,
Barry
