Question about password setting.

I just realized the odd thing. I am working on a virtual Readynas 6.10.9. I have cahnged the password through the password-recover page:

https://<ReadyNAS IP address>/password_recovery/my_password. html

It was successful. I can only use the new password to login the webpage. However, to use ssh putty (as root), I still have to use the old password, and the new password does not work. How to change the root password?

Normally it will track the admin password changes, so maybe start by applying the new password again.

The normal passwd tool should also work from ssh.
