Question regarding adding drives

Hi,

Going to add 2 additional drives to my ReadyNas Ultra 4, it currently has 2 Seagate ST2000DL003 drives and after reviewing the compatibility list noticed that there are several models that are compatible with the Ultra 4. My question is, can I install 2 additional drives that are a different brand/model/size, different brand/model as long as they are the same size or can I only use disks similar to the ones currently installed?

Thanks

  • You can use any drive that is on the HCL, mixing brands, models and sizes, as long as the sizes are equal to or larger than the current smallest drive.

    Thanks
