Question Regarding Netgear AC1900 C7000 Modem/Router
Hello All,
I plan on switching from Uverse to Xfinity. The self-purchase modem I have in mind is the C7000 modem/router. I have one brief question about this product for which I have not directly located an answer.
Let me explain my current situation. I am using the Uverse Modem/Router and behind that have a Netgear GS108 gigabit ethernet switch. Of course the switch is plugged into the back of the modem ethernet port. I have 6 devices all hardwired and plugging into the switch. All works fine without any issues.
Now here is my question. Will I be able to plug the GS108 switch in the back of the C7000 for connectivity of my 6 devices plugged into the switch? If so does it matter which of the C7000 ports the GS108 should be plugged into? Being the C7000 only has 4 Ethernet ports its not enough for me. Example setup:
---internet---[C7000]---[GS108]------- ------- ------- -------- ------- -------- 6 Devices

Thank you Antinode for taking your time to answer my query with your valuable information. I was certain it would work but I just wanted to be sure of it. I ordered the C7000 and its on its way.

Ethernet ports of the modem+router. (The switch itself won't fit into
one of those little holes. And, I'd bet that there's more than one

I really suggest you do more research before you buy. YOU WILL REGRET IT JUST LIKE MANY OTHERS.
I must be missing something Ngk222. I haven't read any posts in my travels of people regretting this modem/router. Xfinity and other cable providers approve it so I wonder why they would if there are issues.
