hi Peter_Zulof
i have done the following workaround:
-Join the NAS to the Domain
-setup the share permissions like in this articel: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7066/~/readynas-os-6%3A-setting-active-directory-folder-permissions
(i removed everyone, guest etc. completly and added the domain users, domain admins ...)
regards

Using that article is what we recommend for configuring permissions.
If you have trouble joining the domain you should contact support to do the troubleshooting for that. Support won't be able to help with doing it on a beta firmware release unless they suggested trying that in a support case, but they would be able to help with doing it on 6.4.2.
In 6.5.0 we have updated samba to the latest samba series (4.4) from the 4.2 series. If your support has expired then support would ask you to purchase additional support. Note that if it's a business class product purchased on/after June 1, 2014 it may have lifetime chat support.
It's important to make sure the NAS is using the same time server as the Domain Controller. If the time is not in sync then joining the domain will fail.
Joining the domain should work smoothly, but if it doesn't it may require advanced troubleshooting, reviewing logs and using e.g. Teamviewer to have a look at your server and figure out why the domain join is failing. For initial setup the 90 days of support from the date of purchase should be more than enough time to resolve any issues with this.If you have trouble joining a domain and don't know why and don't wish to purchase support you could backup your data and do a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) if you didn't do one recently and try again.
We can also review your logs, but it may not be something we can easily resolve through community support.
