ReadyNAS was shutdown to replace the UPS attached to it, but now it will not power on. Yes, I checked the power cable, etc. Is there any way to find out if my power supply is one of those with t...

There is nothing in that old forum message that addresses a dead power supply.

DaneA assumed the "known issue" you meant was the service action. Did you have a different "known issue" in mind? Let us know.
If your NAS serial number is in the range in the service action, then Netgear will give you a new supply even if the warranty has expired.
If not check for warranty coverage (5 years I think).
The PSU can be replaced. One option is to get a stock supply (SS-250SU for instance) and modify the pinout for the NV+. Here's a thread with a bit more information: https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-Hardware-Compatibility/Inexpensive-power-supply-replacement-for-legacy-4-bay-Readynases/m-p/1016241#M13476

I was referring to the hundreds of other postings referring to the known issue with the power supplies dying prematurely.
I can not find a link to the serial number range, which would be very helpful.

DaneA's link gave you the range of serial numbers.

Hello andersc,
I checked your profile and found 2 units of ReadyNAS NV+. I don't see both fall in the range of SNs of recalled units. Have you tried using the power cable of the other unit? If this is a problem with the PSU itself of the chassis, you may need to contact support to get a replacement. However, from what I've heard, you will have to purchase it.
