Ready NAS DUO V1, Windows 10 can't set back ups and other network issues!
Hi My First post and after nearly 10 years of perfect service my Ready NAS Duo V1 has an issue, well I think it is more a Windows 10 issue as all was working in Windows 7. I have recently upgrade...
It's also worth checking that Windows has set the network connection to private.
Do you have any internet security software installed (Avast or Kaspersky)?

Yes, this had been set to public one one of the PCs but is now private the other was always private

Yes, I'm running AVG free for AV and Zone Alarm as my firewall.

Try disabling both, and see if that works.

Hi Stephen
I disabled both AV and Firewall and hey presto! I could see the shares and everything I needed to from file explorer, map a network drive etc.
So I explored and found that Zone Alarm was blocking the ip address, I allowed the ip address in to the zone and re-enabled everything and we are still good and I have a back up of this pc now.
Thanks for all your help with this issue. I think we can call this closed now.
