ReadyNAS 102 - How to eject USB drive?

Hi - I am just starting to use a ReadyNAS 102 and have connected an external hard drive to one of the USB ports on the back. The drive was recognized on the ReadyCloud and Admin pages, and everything seems ok. I'm wondering, though, how to remove/eject the drive. There doesn't seem to be any method similar to what you would do to eject a drive on a Windows machine.

Thanks!

  • Go to the Admin page "System" and click on the "Gearwheel" next to the USB drive

Thank you! And after clicking the eject option should there be a confirmation that it's OK to unplug the drive? I don't see any message, as you get in Windows ("safe to remove drive").

No but it will disappear from the "System" page display
