Readynas 102 low disk space
HI
I am running out of storage space and have plans to upgrade to a larger unit
As an immediate fix to get more space I have copied off old data to a USB drive and deleted the data from the nas,
However the free space has not increased, and still running out of space. I know from other NAS devices there is a recycle bin which needs to emptied after deleting files.
But I cannot find a recycle bin or any other means of reclaiming space from the deleted files.
any ideas?
Malcolm

If you have snapshots enabled, then go in and delete them.
After you done that, then try running a balance (from the volume settings wheel).

OS6 does not have a recycle bin (though many have asked that that OS4.x feature be added).

Thank you Stephen, trying that now
