ReadyNAS 102 System volume root's usage is 90%.

We have couple of ReadyNAS 102 which are all sending an email System volume root's usage is 90%, couple days ago it was on 87 and before it was 85 and we have one on 99% now so ...
If you are running the antivirus service, then that is almost certainly the culprit. Turn it off right away.
You can contact paid support (my.netgear.com), and they can resolve it for you remotely.

Note that Netgear will be removing the antivirus service in the RN100 series in the next release (6.10, which is at RC-2 so it should reach production soon). The platform doesn't have enough memory to run all the features in the current firmare.
Since you'll shortly lose the built-in Antivirus anyway, I recommend just leaving it off when the system is cleaned.
