ReadyNAS 104 keeps resyncing
Hi, my ReadyNAS keeps resyncing, when I look at the logs I see:
May 08 12:16:31 ReadyNAS systemd-logind[2221]: Power key pressed.
May 08 12:16:34 ReadyNAS systemd-logind[2221]: Power key pressed.
May 08 12:16:39 ReadyNAS readynasd[2419]: The system is shutting down.
but I have not pressed the power button.
any clues?
thanks

Sounds like a hardware problem. It could be just the button, but is more likely something else in the power control circuit. Maybe even the 3.3VSB it runs on (which is created internal to the NAS from the 12V input power).

Thanks, I disassembled the whole thing and checked the voltage at the button, it is showing 4V. I replaced the mobo battery. Just in case, I resoldered the header board and the system completed a resync. After about 2 days, I then spotted it was resyncing again, checked the logs and there is nothing like the original log with the shutdown record, There is just a "Rebooting" entry.
Anyway, it completed the re resync, but it then just sits with constant disk activity.
I have now powered cycled it and issued a defrag comand, I will see how things go.
