ReadyNAS 104 slow responding from web interface and slow file transfer

Hello,

My RadyNAS 104 is very slow at responding via the web interface and slow at file transfer. I use it for storing media files that I access from a Mac running Plex. I've noticed that Plex says files are missing when they actually are there, but the file access is so slow I think Plex just gives up looking for a file.

Looking at the ReadyNAs via finder (AFP) it take a long time for it to update and if I copy a file say 2.5 GB sixe it take ten minutes to copy it.

Any Ideas on what could be the problem, what should I do to find cause and troupble shoot?

      Hej,

I have no apps running. Services running are AFP, HTTP, HTTPS, and SSH. Im not sure if I can close down all but AFP which is what a basically need for Plex on the mac to access the NAS.

So that's already minimal (no antivirus, no apps, no file protocols you aren't using).

You could try rebooting the NAS, and see if that helps.

Another thought is that you could enable SMB, and try using that with plex instead of AFP.  I'm not sure which will work better, since I'm not a Mac user.
