I do not have the installation disks and when I go to download the utility there is no program to open it up. Can anyone help? I am running Windows 10 and haven't used the Nas device for...

Hi,
When I type in the NAS IP address it times out. Do I need to enter the port details first? I tried searching for it via the explorer but nothing. The SMB is enabled. I was trying to download the RAIDar utility as according to the instruction manual you need that. I downloaded this: RAIDiator 4.2 (version 4.2.31) for Pro Pioneer / Pro Business / Pro 2 / Pro 4 / Pro 6 / NVX / Ultra 2 / Ultra 4 / Ultra 6 / Ultra 2 Plus / Ultra 4 Plus / Ultra 6 Plus / 1500 / 2100 / 3100 / 3200 / 4200 however it will not open up as I have no program to do so.

Have you tried using Raidar Here and/or Here to locate your NAS in your Network, they give the ability to open your Admin page and provide info on the NAS

Nope. I tried downloading them but get this message:
"RAIDar could not find any NETGEAR storage on your network. Check that your storage device is powered on and connected correctly. For more help, visit http://my.netgear.com."
Another run and it states that it cannot find it and to make sure your client PC or Mac running RAIDar is on the same subnet as the ReadyNAS device. However, how do I go about doing that?

Try disabling any internet security or firewall software running on the PC, as that can block the protocol RAIDar is using to find the NAS.
The next step is to look at the LED status for the ethernet connection. You should see this on the router/switch port, and also on on the duo (the LED is at/near the ethernet port on the back of the ReadyNAS). The one on the Duo should be green (for gigabit) or amber (for fast ethernet/100 mbps).
Another step is to power down the NAS, and remove the two disk trays (labeling them by slot). Then power up the ReadyNAS, and look again with RAIDar - it should detect the NAS and show a "no disks status".

Hi,
I did exactly that but it will still not find the NAS device. When I go to networks it is not in there either. I took both disks out of the NAS turned it on and still nothing. Reloaded them back in and still nothing. The light on the back where the ethernet capable is, lights up. The 2 lights at the front of the NAS device are a yellow colour. The right one flashes but the left one is stable. The light on the back of the router for the ethernet capable is flashing.
