ReadyNAS 214- The 2 GIG ports- can it be used as a switch port?
I am interested in this unit. I want to know if I can use 1 of the ethernet ports to connect a different device....like plugging in my sonos controller. I wasn't sure if it was 2 ethernet ports or if it can be used as a switch port. Any help would be appreciated. thx

It can't be used as a switch port - there is no pass-through capability.
The intended use is ethernet bonding - using both ports to increase performance. That is a pretty advanced feature, and generally only worth doing if you frequently have simultaneous users. It can also be used to connect the NAS to two different networks.
