Readynas 424 all 4 blue lights on bright

Question

I do not think these lit like this before? I logged in and the Admin page says healthy so all must be good. Log looks good.

But all 4 front blue lights are on very brightly in a vertical X pattern. They are NOT blinking. Does this mean something? Is this normal behaviour?

I really don't think it used to do that but perhaps I just never noticed....

So perhaps this was a stupid question but this week my RN 424 turned on and no blue cross on front. Is there a pressure sensitive switch or something I touched? Any input at all appreciated. Log shows no issues.

StephenB&nbsp;,&nbsp;My NAS typically boots up once a week automatically for a backup session. The blue lights on the front floor, one vertical, one horizontal do not usually stay on.&nbsp;Last week, those front lights stayed on until its scheduled shutdown the next day. One vertical, one horizontal blue light, lit up the room like a night light.&nbsp;Yesterday it booted up and no blue front lights stayed on. Unlike last week. I made no setting changes I am aware of.&nbsp;So....are the lights on or off by default and/or is there some software setting or soft button on the unit that turns those lights on and off.&nbsp;Thanks as always,BJB&nbsp;

My NAS are all in the basement, and it's been a while since I watched my RN526 or RN524 power up.
&nbsp;
Some OS-6 NAS have a proximity sensor that wakes the status display - but I don't think the RN424 is one of them.&nbsp; I wouldn't be worried about the cross not being on, as long as you can access the status display.

So funny...it has been almost 5 months since this last ocurred and this week, the blazing blue light was on again!Again no harm no foul but kind of strange.&nbsp; Maybe it is based on some alien signal?&nbsp;:smileyhappy:&nbsp;Anyway, it doesnt seem to matter what is in front of it at all as it has turned on with stuff in front of it or nothing and never turns on.&nbsp;Anyway, just thought I would pass that along.&nbsp;Thanks,&nbsp;BJB&nbsp;
