No I didn't but I will give that a try. Of course, it begs the question why the system didn't automatically update it's own firmware since I have it configured to do that. Apparently "automatic update" doesn't mean what I thought it did. :) Thanks for your help!

Netgear's release process starts by posting the release notes and the binaries, allowing people who want the release immediately to manually install. After a week or so, they put it on the update servers.
So if you simply wait a bit longer, you should get the update automatically.

I hear that. I would have thought that a security issue would merit an immediate hotfix rather than slomo easy as you go... ;) I had deliberately waited a few days before posting to see if an automated update would cure it. The manual update did the trick. Thanks again!
