ReadyNAS 428 RAM Upgrade - need advice

Greetings,

I'd like to upgrade the RAM in my ReadyNAS 428.

My questions are.....

Will it benefit me to upgrade it from the stock 4GB to the max 64GB?

Can anyone  provide a link to compatible memory, preferably some that you could recommend?

Many thanks!

Robert

  • Unless you are running a lot of VM's or some massively memory-hungry apps, you aren't going to notice much difference above 8GB, and you won't notice a lot going from 4 to 8.  I can't help you with the memory type, but can only suggest you see what's in it already and try to duplicate the specs.
