ReadyNAS 516 cannot mount RAID volume (another case)
ReadyNAS 516 with 6.10.8. 4 6TB drives & 2 4TB drives Raid 5. Disk in slot 4 (6TB) showed as dead. Replaced with identical 6TB drive. System started re-building. Only app running on the system was PLEX. When done, the system could not mount the raid volume. Same issue "adomenicus" posted about a few weeks ago.

I have read the solution to adomenicus's posts. Unfortunately it has been a long time since I have dug this deep into the system and need more detailed steps to the solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm willing to take a look at the logs if you want to share them.
Put a copy of the full log zip into cloud storage, and PM (private message) me a download link. Send the PM using the envelope icon in the upper right of the forum page. Make sure the permissions are set so anyone with the link can download.
Hi StephenB, I have sent you a link to the logs.
In other solutions the data was copy off the ReadyNAS to another disk. Should I get a 10TB USB disk for this. I assume this will plug into port on NAS and that there is a copy all command. Thanks
At this point, your data is not accessible, so there is nothing you can copy. If StephenB is able to give you commands that will mount the volume, then copying off the data would be the next step.
Regardless of the outcome, you really should have a data backup (because of what has happened to you), so going ahead and getting that USB drive for backup use now may make sense. On the other hand, with Netgear clearly leaving the NAS market, you may want to look into another brand of NAS to become your main one and relegate the ReadyNAS to backup duty.
