ReadyNAS 542X can't install applications
I had to do a full reset of my ReadyNAS 542X and I can't install applications anymore. I've changed the DNS, set a static IP, and attempted uploading deb files. Can anyone advise me on next steps?

What firmware are you running?

There's a problem with Netgear's 6.10.8 repo, which keeps you from installing an app from the apps page in the web ui. You can just download the deb from apps.readynas.com or upgrade to 6.10.9.
However, there is another problem. OS-6 uses Debian 8 ("Jessie") Linux. That is an older version, and the Debian folks recently archived it's repos. You can modify two files in the NAS to work around this (using ssh). The details were posted by Sandshark in in the first post here:

Thanks. I updated the apt files and they seem to be working but I can't upload a deb and the new firmware is displaying an "Unrecognized Server Error."
