ReadyNAS communication w/ UPS over network
Hello, For the life of me I can't get this to work. Using a Netgear 31400 running OS 6.2.3. I want it to discover our Dell UPS rack 2700W HV. I can't get it to work using either the SNMP UPS opt...
I'm curious on why you want this setup (and am a bit unclear on how your network is set up). Can you provide a few more details?
BTW, since the two NAS are connected via a switch, you also need to protect the switch with a UPS - preferably the same UPS that is used for the two NAS. If its a different UPS, you need to ensure that the switch will remain up at least as long as the NAS - otherwise the power status will never reach the networked NAS.
