is there any incompatibility with the DIR-655 and with WPN824 ?
I have setup something very similar for my dad: NV+ with DIR-655 for wireless (no DHCP) connected to his ISP-supplied Gnet 4-port wired DSL modem/router and all works as expected.
I have a little more elaborate (but similar) setup with my DSL modem --> D-Link DGL-4500 --> Netgear GS108T GigE switch, as well as a 5-port 10/100 switch connected to the 4500 for some of my non-gigabit clients. All seems to work well.
